Property Industry raises invaluable funds for Children’s Charities
Last week saw the property industry out in force to raise funds for worthy causes including The Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, The Hope Foundation, & The National Maternity Hospital Foundation. Sponsored by Arthur Cox, Bank of Ireland & CBRE and now in its second year, the Property Race Day event raised over €100,000 net for the worthy charities.
Overseeing the proceedings of the fundraising event was well known TV & radio presenter Kathryn Thomas who ensured those gathered ‘dug deep’ to support these very worthwhile causes where over €100,000 was raised. The event is affiliated with the Property Race Day in the UK, which has quickly established itself as a key date in the property calendar, hosting over 850 individuals from the property and property financing industries. Now in its ninth year, The Property Race Day in the UK has raised over £1.2 million for a number of UK children’s charities since inception, and it is intended the Irish fundraiser will build on this success in the years ahead.
Commenting on the event, President of Property Race Day Ireland, Mark FitzGerald, said, “We are delighted that the 2nd annual Property Race Day Ireland event has been another huge success and plan to build on the triumph of our colleagues in the UK who have raised over £1 million for worthy causes focusing on children’s charities in the past nine years. We are delighted with the funds raised for our second year and intend to grow this for the benefit of all of these worthy causes involved in the years ahead’.
