Given the current circumstances, we have made the enormously difficult decision to cancel the Property Race Day in 2020.
Rather than delay the decision in the hope that the Government’s stance on gatherings is eased, we want to call it early and bring certainty to the situation. It comes at a great price for our chosen charities namely, the Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) and Focus Ireland both of whom need the support of the property industry now more than ever.
Since the Property Race Day commenced in 2014, we have raised €700,000 for children’s charities.
Our objective from setting it up was two-fold:
The Committee were excited about getting the industry back together but, alas, this wasn’t to be given Government restrictions. In saying this, we are looking forward to making next year an even better event and, with your support, we will still reach our goal of €1 million by the year 2024.
This year our chosen charities were two that have been severely impacted by the current crisis; ISPCC – the national child protection charity in Ireland ensuring all children are safe, heard and valued and Focus Ireland – who provide services for people that are either homeless or at risk of homelessness.
These charities need the support of the Irish property industry now more than ever, please advise us if you wish to make a contribution.
Thank you for your ongoing support, we look forward to being in touch with further information regarding next years’ standout event.
