The Property Race Day 2022
June 9th 2022
The eighth annual Property Race Day took place on Thursday, 9th 2022, after a two-year hiatus, due to the Covid Pandemic. Over 450 of Ireland’s property, investment, and financial leaders gathered in the Pavilion, Leopardstown for an exciting and entertaining day, which saw the industry gather to raise over €135,000 for the ISPCC & Focus Ireland and UNICEF Ukraine Appeal.
On arrival, guests enjoyed a Moët & Chandon and drinks reception, with entertainment courtesy of The Hit Drummers, the Havana Club Trio, with the Swing Cats finishing out the evening’s entertainment.
Martin Bayfield, TV Presenter, and former England International Rugby Player hosted proceedings, with the affable Deirdre O ‘Kane providing the post-dinner entertainment. Amidst the excitement of the races, mixologists made delicious drinks as guests bid on an array of prizes at the charity auction, raising an incredible €55,000. Among the amazing prizes on offer was a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Coolmore & Ballydolye Stud, Tickets to the British Open, a Corporate day out at the Dublin Horse Show, Concert Tickets, & Training Camps with Caelan Dorris & his friends, bidders were spoilt for choice, and our auctioneer Paul Grimes, did a stellar job, securing the bids on the night.
To date, Property Race Day Ireland has raised over €908,000 net for Irish charities, and we are well on our way to smashing our target of €1m in ten years.
Commenting on the invaluable funds raised, Chairman of Property Race Day Ireland, Andrew Gunne said,
“We are delighted with the funds raised to date and intend to grow this for the benefit of all of these worthy causes involved in the years ahead. As an industry, we are very proud to support so many children’s Charities including our 2022 Charity Partners ISPCC , Focus Ireland and Unicef Ukraine Appeal. This is a great result considering that it was just an idea eight years ago and testament to the incredible efforts of our amazing Committee, Jamie Rohan, Johnny Horgan, Paul McDonnell, Paul Grimes, Suzie Cruess-Callaghan, along with our President, Mark FitzGerald”.
To our Sponsors and Table Hosts – on behalf of the Committee and the Charities, thank you for your support. It is massively appreciated, and the vital funds raised would simply not be possible without your generosity.
